We are looking for:

Department: Institutional Partnership

Location: Noida

No. of Positions: 1

  1. Excellent understanding of the social development sector, reflected through work undertaken in the sector on diverse issues and at varying levels, including institutional grant management.
     
  2. Must have a proven track record of raising significant funds from Institutional Donors.
     
  3. Oriented to facilitate evidence building and community engagement to ensure programmes are responsive to evidence and emerging needs.

  1. Research to ensure a regular and reliable pipeline of new prospects, developing grant proposals, whilst also leveraging existing relationships.
     
  2. Identify potential new institutional donors, and support the management leadership in raising resources for MB’s programs across the country.
     
  3. Writes winning proposal and facilitate fund raising efforts.
     
  4. Develops and maintains a project management system to provide regular feedback and to ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
     
  5. Regular tracking of progress, financial utilization and reporting as per grant letters and prepare reports.
     
  6. Responds to reporting requests from donors and management including preparation of data analysis.
     
  7. Take charge of a few (4 - 5) important grants as the grants anchor and ensure deliver working closely with the team.
     
  8. Proactively identify, Liaise and engage to ensure all external stakeholders and appropriate platforms for representing Magic Bus are leveraged.

Team coordination:

  1. Director, Impact and the Impact team - To find ways to represent and communicate results/ outcomes as well as support and contribute to the effective creation of a monitoring and evaluation framework for the Magic Bus.
  2. Programme Operation team – To coordinate with operations team to understand the gaps, design the concept and proposal for sustainance of projects.
  3. Communications Team - To develop effective channel for internal as well as external communications, milestones achieved, success stories etc.
  4. Other support functions – to ensure adequate manpower, fund allocation & accuracy, technology enablement are in place.
  1. Post Graduate in Social work or other social sciences relevant to the development sector
  2. 10 – 14 years’ experience in the social development sector

Department: Full time

Location: Delhi

The role will be responsible to provide placement to 750 plus youth and adults. Build a strong relationship with employers ensuring effective placement and monitoring systems are in place for youth and out of work adults.

Desired Competencies

  • Strong partnership building credentials with ability to tailor style and methods when working with employers (and employee volunteers), and other specialist organisations like Job Aggregators.

  • Excellent team worker with strong oral and written communication skills including good level of professional English.

  • Can-do attitude and willingness to use own initiative to solve ground level problems.

  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends occasionally as required by programme.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for achieving the desired target number of youth & out of work adults’ placements in jobs

  • Create partnerships with employers and job aggregators who can offer youth potential job placements, work experience and workplace visit opportunities.

  • Monitor youth’s attendance and performance with employers for effective retention & performance

  • Support youth after their placements to ensure that they retain their engagement and sustain themselves in work or training for up to 6 months.

  • Undertake data collection and reporting duties that demonstrate the effectiveness of the programme.

  • Act as a role model at all times demonstrating behaviour that displays the characteristics youth should develop to be successful in their chosen field.

Qualification & Work experience

  • Relevant degree or similar professional qualification from a reputed institution (Minimum qualification is graduation).

  • Knowledge of local employers and job aggregators.

  • Knowledge of youth needs with regard to progressions at work.

  • Experience of partnership working including referrals and monitoring partner delivery.

  • Experience of either employability skills, job placement, youth development or vocational training programmes either directly or indirectly (desirable)

Department: Corporate relations / Full time

Location: Mumbai

The role will be responsible to tie up and manage the relationship of corporate employers and nurture and grow the accounts ensuring they become sustainable source of funds.

Specific Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Directly play the role of account manager of multiple large projects and create and nurture a lasting relationship

  • Play vital role in fund allocation and take major financial as well as programmatic decisions and reporting with respect to the grant

  • Oversee the progress of implementation of the program as per the MoU agreed upon with the respective donors

  • Self-sustaining practices for Retention of existing donors and growing grant/donation sizes

  • Tying up with more employers under the project

  • Responsible for good CRM .

  • Managing relationships with corporate employers

Mobility requirements:
The role would be based in Magic Bus Head office located in Vikhroli, Mumbai and would be required to travel in line with the requirements of the grants, stakeholders, project management team etc. from time to time.
As the head office is shut owing to the COVID 19 outbreak, the person would be required to work from residence until it resumes functioning.

Programme Manager shall Lead the delivery of the Magic Bus Livelihood programme at district level ensuring youth engaged with the employment exchange and are successfully placed in work or training Manage a team of help desk executives, Youth engagement Officers, Employer and Skilling agency Officer who will deliver high quality interventions from mobilization through to successful placement and transition support ensuring a sharp focus on outcomes. Manage partnerships at District level and contribute to strategic partnerships management at Regional and national levels.

Specific tasks and responsibilities

  • Manage Magic Bus resources (budgets & Office), staff and local partners to ensure the full offer of employment exchange programme is available to youth in the district.

  • Lead a team of staff delivering employment exchange programme at district level and manage all aspects of their performance.

  • Achieve targets at each stage of intervention including mobilisation, boarding of youth and employers, counselling and placement in work or training.

  • Support staff to do effective mobilisation, counselling of youth, identification of their strengths & limitations, training and life skills needs and overall targets for the programme.

  • Formulate personal development plans for each youth that sets out their training schedule and work or training targets.

  • Provide high quality career counseling and impartial Information, Advice and Guidance that empowers youth to make positive choices about potential careers.

  • Oversee district level community need assessments and mapping exercises of other stakeholders in the local areas (government / NGO/ private and corporate foundations).

  • Support the Regional head of Livelihood Programme with key updates.

  • Ensure district level staff record interventions and activities with youth effectively and data is reported and analysed to improve the quality of work on ground with youth.

  • Identify and respond to risks that could lead to youth dropping out of the programme.

  • Work with employers to ensure adequate placement opportunities exist at a local level for youth completing the programme.

  • Maintain partnerships with skills training providers to help youth enrolled under employment exchange programme to take the benefit of trainings.

  • Monitor the effectiveness and quality of partner interventions and their training delivery.

  • Documenting the best practices, Narrative reports, Case studies, and provide any other relevant update pertaining to the project.

  • Work with colleagues in the Livelihood Programme teams at regional level to continuosly improve the quality of Magic Bus Livelihood (employment exchange and training) and ensure our work is always safe and enjoyable.

Team coordination

  • Regional Programme Management teams – An ongoing collaboration within the team and create a conducive environment for sharing of information constructive criticism and suggestion alongside the regular progress of programmes.

  • Sustainability /Fundraising team – Extend support to the Fundraising teams in creating descriptive as well as narrative reports among other things.

  • Communications Team - To develop effective channel for internal as well as external communications, milestones achieved, success stories etc.

  • Other support functions – to ensure adequate manpower, fund allocation & accuracy, technology enablement are in place.

Mobility requirements:
The role would be based out of Pune and would be required to travel in line with the requirements of the project  and various external stakeholders for representing Magic Bus on outside fora if required from time to time.

  • Experience of working with and achieving positive outcomes for disadvantaged 17-25 year olds or a portion of this age range.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with 2 years managerial experience of frontline staff delivering interventions to youth

  • Exposure to Govt. departments and their way of functioning (desirable)

  • Experience of handling Budget and doing financial and resource planning at local level.

  • Knowledge of youth needs with regard to progressions into work or training.

  • Direct experiene of career counseling and providing Information, Advice and Guidance to youth across a range of issues.

The Role -

This position, along with the M&E Head and Director, will play a key role to inform and guide the Programme Development team, Operations team and Grant Manager on the pulse of the programme and on the effectiveness of the design, inputs, and methodology used to achieve the programme outputs and outcomes

  • To perform complete programme monitoring for the assigned districts according to the monitoring exercise plans on timely manner and to report on the effectiveness of the programme

  • Coordination in developing LFA, M & E plans, capacity building plans, MIS and monitoring of the projects/programs across SCALE Locations.

  • Coordination in evaluation designing, providing of technical inputs for conducting baseline, midline and end-line evaluations as well as for monitoring tools and strategies to ensure project implementation.

  • Work closely with program team for collation of data from different types of sources/surveys i.e. baseline/midline/end-line, outcome monitoring etc. and integrate with the organization’s MIS.

  • Conduct monitoring activities and check the quality of all data for completeness, consistency, correctness and authenticity of data and make amendments as required

  • Resolving issues pertaining to technical and functional aspects of MIS and ensuring timely and quality of data being entered in automated MIS system

  • Deliver high productivity and quality data in presentable mode by developing and running validation checks, integrity checks, resolving data discrepancies

  • Assist M&E team in developing data collection procedure/ guidelines and provide feedback to all staff involved in data collection on the quality of data.

  • Conduct trainings and capacity building of the programme team and to ensure the adherence of M&E framework/protocols/plans

  • Conduct process evaluation to understand the progress/outcome of the project and conduct data collation of field data on prescribed format as per SCALE project requirement

  • Extract and update secondary information from different sources like NFHS, DLHS, and Census etc. and maintain separate database.

  • Work closely with program team and provide regular support for updating & integrating data into the MIS. 

  • Manage large scale complex databases on different thematic areas

  • Provide inputs and or prepare monthly, quarterly, annual project progress, narrative, evaluation and other analytical reports for different programme/projects.

  • Experience of working in rural development projects in the state of Mizoram and command on Mizo language will be preferred

Role:

  1. Organising mobilisation drives while supporting the Community Resource Persons (CRP) in their outreach work in the respective clusters.

  2. Strategizing the outreach plan for mobilization of 4-5 Clusters targeting 750 youth & adults during the project duration

  3. Facilitate on boarding of the mobilised youth & adult in the technology platform who fulfils the eligibility criteria and ensure that the documentary validation is in place.

  4. Support programme participants to navigate through the technology platform and finish the end to end process so that they are directed towards the next step.

  5. Engagement with youth to identify their aspirations, skill set and competence and facilitate the end-to-end journey.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Undertake comprehensive needs assessments with Households which include job seeking Youth & Adults to identify their strengths & limitations, training and life skills needs and overall targets for the programme.

  • Work as career counsellor to the youth & adults while conveying the findings of the tests they appeared for in technology platform to ensure they have the impartial Information, Advice and Guidance that empowers them to make positive choices about potential careers.

  • Act as the lead worker in the first phase of youth’s engagement with Magic Bus Livelihood programme and ensure all youth receive the full and proper offer during this time.

  • Engage and motivate youth & adults positively at all times ensuring their positive engagement.

  • Deliver a sharp focus on all-counselling contributing to successful youth registration, placement and job retention

  • Identify and respond to risks that could lead to youth & adults dropping out of the programme.

  • Build strong and trusted relationships with youth & adults from the start of their engagement with Magic Bus.

  • Work with CRPs in the communities to ensure the mobilisation of youth & adults happens effectively and selection criteria are properly implemented.

  • Work with colleagues at district and regional level to continuously improve the quality of the programme.

  • Undertake data collection and reporting duties that demonstrate the effectiveness of the programme.

  • Act as a role model at all times demonstrating behaviour that displays the characteristics youth should develop to be successful in their chosen field.

Salary: It will be Rs 18,000/- pm gross
