Department: Employability Education

Location: Mumbai (Western Line)

  • Train and counsel high school students (Grade IX- XII) in life and employability skills (with special focus on spoken English) to make them employment ready

  • Work with schools, employers, and Magic Bus teams for smooth implementation of the programme and eventual job placement or transition higher education and trade skills training of students

Conceptualizing and Implementation of monitoring and evaluation system to maintain efficiency and effectiveness across Magic Bus programs; Conceptualizing, training and supervising to deliver high productivity and quality data in time; providing inputs, compilation and documentation of learning and development in the programme; coordinate and support State teams by resolving issues pertaining to technical and functional aspects of MIS, and ensuring timely and quality of data being entered in the MIS system
  • Coordination in developing strategies, LFA, timeline, budget, M & E plans capacity building plans, MIS and monitoring of the projects/programs across different zones.

  • Coordination in designing, provision of technical inputs in conduction of baseline, midline, end-line evaluations as well as monitoring tools and strategies for project implementation.

  • Work closely with program team for collation of data from different types of sources/surveys i.e. baseline/midline/end-line, outcome monitoring etc. and integrate with the organization’s MIS.

  • Check the quality of all data for completeness, consistency and correctness and make amendments as required.

Role

  • Develop youth entrepreneurs by providing training and mentoring them in establishing micro enterprise

  • Support youth during their enterprise-development phase through ecosystem building approach

Specific Responsibilities

  • To guide young entrepreneurs/self-employed youth in setting up their enterprises through meetings, training, handholding, mentor matching and resolve issues related to it.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Build Capacities of the Trainer Counsellor (TC)

  • Arrange exposures/workshops and other activities to help trainers to keep abreast of the current trends in content and training methodologies

Lead the research and monitoring and evaluation domain which is an integral part of the knowledge vertical (Program Development) at Magic Bus.
  • The role holder will be responsible for upgrading & innovating research and development

  • Design and implement evaluation methodologies during the entire life cycle of Magic Bus program

  • Coordinate and facilitate internal as well as third party impact assessment of Magic Bus community interventions.

  • Identify technical and management resource persons/consultants for impact assessment / audits.

  • Build the academic platform and strengthen the science behind Magic Bus impact areas

  • Be the Knowledge Manager for Magic Bus

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Design and conceptualize research methodologies for Magic Bus interventions covering target groups including children, youth and communities across developmental domain areas

  • Develop and implement a measurement framework for evaluation of programme.

  • Ensure that appropriate research is conducted that feeds into developing high quality programmes.

  • Knowledge research, evaluation and impact assessment across the domains in which Magic Bus operates.

  • Understand basic behavioural change theory and child psychology

  • Thorough knowledge of various research tools and techniques in the area of curriculum development

  • Knowledge of conceptualizing and developing curriculum in the domain of Education, Gender, Health, Life Skills, Leadership and Livelihood is desired. (Expertise in minimum 2-3 domain is a must)

  • Plan and lead effective & efficient management of Magic Bus-PTI’s ‘Get Into’ modelled programs across India ensuring targeted enrolments, customized Employer-focussed curriculum, training quality, final job placements and job retention tracking

  • Plan and lead Employer Connect activities to assess, connect, on-board and retain high-employment Employers who meet the agreed ‘Get Into’ partnership criteria

  • Plan and lead scale up of ‘Get Into’ modelled programs from the existing MSDF centers to rest of the centers in India

  • Work with Livelihoods Director to develop effective Monitoring & Evaluation tools for ‘Get Into’ project

To plan and lead the Entrepreneurship Development Programme of Magic Bus which include activities like rural livelihood & MSME development, financial inclusion, strategic planning, effective implementation with program management, empanelment and strengthening of local market linkages, networking & policy advocacy with major stakeholders, convergence with government line departments, documenting Best Practices, planning & strengthening of programme governance, and institution-building for the aspiring rural-entrepreneurs from the marginalized & disadvantaged background.
  • Lead the design and planning of entrepreneurship & MSME development, and support components of the programme

  • Manage the implementation of entrepreneurship and MSME development components of the programme

  • Lead the design of the overall programme in multiple models which will enable the objective of identification & creation of MSME entrepreneurs, mainly rural, both in association with Knowledge partners as well as through in-house expertise

  • Design, plan and upgrade entrepreneurship and enterprise development materials, training activities and plans, training programmes, materials and tools, pre- and post-tests as required
