To the north-west of New Delhi and approximately ten minutes from the Mundka metro station is Block-A, Bakkarwala, a slum cluster with nearly 3,500 inhabitants and 726 houses. Sanitation is a major concern for the people living here. Due to lack of public toilets, residents often have to resort to open defecation, thereby, exposing themselves to a host of other health hazards.
Mostly migrants, the people of Block-A Bakkarwala are employed as daily wage labourers.
Magic Bus sessions started at Bakkarwala in September 2011.
