Block C, Bakkarwala, is a slum cluster in north Delhi with a population of about 1,300.
Most of the residents work as wage labourers in nearby factories. Others have to travel to Nangloi, a town at a distance of 5-6km, for work. Bakkarwala has a government school that caters to children up to the tenth standard. The closest hospital is at Nangloi.
In the absence of a proper drainage system and awareness regarding disposal of waste, the people living here are exposed to severe health hazards.
Magic Bus began working in Block C, Bakkarwala from September 2011.
