Mess, Khyber Pass, is located in Majnu ka Tila in the northern part of Delhi, India. The settlement comprises of migrants from neighbouring states who had moved to Delhi 30 years ago in search of a livelihood. Even after 30 years, most of the residents are daily wage labourers with uncertain wages and gruelling hours of work. Employment opportunities for the next generation is bleak making them vulnerable to substance abuse and alcoholism.
