Youth for Change Fellowship Programme entails creating a cadre of young community leaders by leading them towards sustainable development. The National Youth Policy 2021, under the direct purview of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MOYAS), articulates a ten-year vision for youth development that India seeks to achieve by 2030. It is aligned with the SDGs and serves to 'unleash the power of youth to address India's biggest development challenges and emerge as leaders of tomorrow'
Magic Bus has been working with young people in the communities for a very long time, who volunteer with us, and it directly contributes to personal development and instils a sense of service; it allows young people to affect a positive change in society and can even dismantle stereotypes and prejudices. Over the years, Volunteering has been a crucial pathway to developing youth leadership and building essential 21st-century skills. Thus, to Develop Leadership In Youth from Marginalized communities, ensuring inclusion of disadvantaged youths and develop leadership capacities in them, MB has initiated this fellowship programme.
This entire 12-month journey will be supported by domain experts and local mentors at different stages of the programme.
Young people between the age group of 18-30 years, and from the existing project communities can be part of this programme. They should be willing to devote 35 hours a week for 12 months.
